Halcyon— a Quiet in the Chaos

In the fall of 2019 I was a student in Hong Kong amidst the growing protests. As a majority of stunnts were international and visa holders, we were restricted from being within the vicinity of a protest due to increasing risk and violence. Instead, I chose to sped much of my time on the remote outlying islands of the city. I ended up finding the people and places where the chaos (& internet) didn't reach. This project culminated in the production of my first photography, so pictured below are the book spreads I created.
